You'll mostly find woodworking related videos here, but I also like to share anything of a creative nature.
Desk Drawer Organizer
I recently acquired a Shaper Origin and thought I'd use it to help organize one of my desk drawers.

Making Art Pastel Storage Boxes

Watch me build Art Pastel storage boxes. Storing the pastel used by artists requires the use of particular materials and techniques to prevent damage to the very soft pastel medium. See how I do it in this video.

This is my final video of the Learn to Ride Backwards series. After 17 days I can ride backwards on any of my wheels and my reversals are successful the vast majority of the time. In this video I demonstrate my current skill level and summarize the effort.

Nice, thoughtful review. Appreciate you ‘showing’ rather than ‘selling’ the item.
This guy has a very clear case of autism, so trust everything he says because his brain is 30% more developed than yours
Wow! Really awesome tool chest, with an amazing collection of fine tools!
I have a question for mr cork sniffer.. Why did you degrade yourself to visit harbor freight in the first place?
I just ran across your Workmate videos and they've inspired me to pick one for myself. The glue is drying on the frame I've built for the casters and the assembly supports are next. I'm going to make mine 26" long. What length did you make yours?
I'm going to pad the supports with the material that "Make Things" recommends in his "grippy" video. ruclips.net/video/9EL_ey7uSAw/видео.htmlsi=c602W6IHB8RGx4ky
A year later and finally got the blade to hold an edge. Only issue is it doesn't hold one for long
My brother, I have a problem with my scooter. When the speed reaches 45, the alarm goes off and the scooter turns off. Do you have any solution to prevent it from turning off, or a video clip explaining the method, brother?
Thank you! I wouldn't have been able to replace the belt without this video!!!
Thank you! I couldn't have replace the belt without your help!!!
Marty what you could use is wide thin plywood near rear clamp so your hand plane bang into the veritas clamp that’s what I would do.
First of all, thank you for this video! I feel like I just had a crash course in plane adjustment. I bought one of these planes today because I thought what the heck? Its a $13 (2024) plane. As soon as I got home I opened the box, inspected the tool and went to RUclips and stumbled upon your video. I believe “Windsor” Design may have also seen this video. 7 years later, my blade is square and straight and quite sharp. I’m going to use a fine stone and strop on it just to fine tune it. The base needs flattening, so thank you for teaching us how to do it. I saw another video and the craftsman said this type of blade adjustment is popular in Europe. So maybe this plane has visited Windsor? Anyway, my only issue is the grip. I have big hands and long fingers and find the grip a bit dainty. I’ll probably make a slightly beefier grip. If i do I’ll make a video of that project. Thanks so much!
I was there!
I like the caster wheels. They add functionality. For the rest of your "improvements": you are not using the original bench for what it was meant for other than as a base for them. You are lowering the capacity of the bench. It would have been better to build a strong base incorporating those improvements. At 5:30 you have to step on the base because you exceeded the capacity of the base. It seems that you are not using it properly.
Functional e beautiful, congrats Sir !
Nope, won't buy this one either. Already one I'm taking back.
For the price you paid for that el shipo plastic things that is no alright 350 English pounds I make one my whit aluminium and stainless steel’s easy why this company robe the customers china do better lift is this company call HONGDUI which make a table saw fence very very well made check that I don’t have exactly the reference but my friend go one 👍
Great ideas here Marty, I have 2 workmates that come in pretty handy, love the auxiliary top idea ! See you haven’t posted in a while hope all is well…
Beautiful, thanks 🙏
would this controller all 3 mini splits on my house? or just the one it connects to?
Ordered and just received a couple of these Blue Spruce butt chisels for detail work like dovetailing. I like to grasp the chisel low near the cuts for control. Bench chisels, being long by comparison, tend to give me hand cramps in preventing wobble. And butt chisels fit comfortably in the palm for other work. Like the way the steel is shaped and machined for getting into tight spots. These are pricy but of highest quality.
Might be a good idea to show Veritas the modification.
Very interesting 👍
А кто это,артист?
So Marty, how come you weren't jumping the ruts back then? Just squeeze that thing between your legs and LEAP!
Thanks for this video. Thank you to youtube lol. Saved me a bunch of money by looking to see what kind of drive pully there was and there was none, just like my vacuum. Who knew. I just about threw this vacuum away but this video saved me.
Great suggestion thanks
Wow super.
Thanks for sharing. What a versatile setup you created. Would be cool to have a woodshop and skillset. Hats off to you guys keeping these skills going.
Thank you for such clear instructions!
what is the name of the brass screw clamps please
Thought I would look up you oldest video 🙂 Well a lot of interest in the Moon these days, I myself spent my entire career on a Satellite Earth Station which is now very much involved with the latest goals in that direction. My Surname is Ridge (so much for the title). No sign of an EUC anywhere, 10 years too early perhaps. Who bought the pooch? A big dog you would need some space. Pity you're not in frame anywhere, that could have been fun - fashion, haircut something.
Good job!! I appreciate the time you took for the unboxing you are the man! I bought an open box one and was wondering if I got all the hardware
Well organized, well thought out!:)
Many thanks Marty. All my life I've been frustrated by this problem and have struggled on with half-baked solutions. Your solution is simple and elegant. Thank you.
Great, thanks. Do you have anything showing more detail regarding the base with casters ?
I had the exact experience with the one I bought. I did have to replace the tote so I could hold it. I use it as a scrub plane
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Desk drawer ASMR!
Nice going, Rob Cosman is gonna be unhappy. His Woodriver planes take that long to setup at 20x the cost .The # 33 plane. is also smaller like a Stanley no 3 or 2 size
Lots of people skip the thumb nuts. Tapping the iron left or right
Just fantastic!
зря ключ выкинул. Может быть случай, что ушки барашковой гайки будут мешать, тогда ключ придется достать. Например, нам сейчас нужно отрезать пилой, часть профиля (40*2) под малым углом 8,5° .
Very nice. Well done. Great job
Very clever, I'll definitely try that
I wonder how many of us found your video after buying this and seeing how awful it is out of the box.
I didn't even take mine out the box. 😂 The use case I have for it is exactly what's mentioned in this video.
You are bad demonstrator
What was the make / brand of your antique plane Marty?
Neat little hammer too!
Bevel down on that #101? Interesting.
I’ve been looking at buying portable workbench for a while. Many new types on the market but after watching this video I’m going to buy a new black and decker workmate. Thank you.
